Scientific group coordinator - Institute of Chemical Research

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Scientific group coordinator. This position will be funded by MCIU.

ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). ICIQ is looking for a motivated researcher with a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science to carry out research in the group of Prof. Núria López on Modelling of catalytic materials.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a person with a solid background in Theoretical Chemistry / Physics who has an interest in atomic-scale modelling and has performed studies and simulations applying density functional theory and microkinetic modelling, as well as electronic structure calculations by using periodic ab initio codes.

The candidate will write reports and scientific articles and tutor B. Sc., Master and PhD students.
