Work in a Stable & Well Supported Team

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their very stable Children with Disabilities service.

Highlights

  • Managers are always accessible and are based on the floor with all other staff
  • Well resourced Local Authorities which enables practitioners to have all the information necessary to progress with their caseloads - ultimately reducing workload
  • Will have the opportunity to complete modular training which can contribute to a MSc
  • Driving is not essential as this is a very well connected region
  • Will be provided the equipment to enable you to work from home and work remotely
  • Very stable service with most staff being employed on a permanent basis.

    • This is an excellent opportunity to work for a high performing Local Authority which has received excellent praises from Ofsted. Of particular note is the support staff receive has been reported across services and teams with excellent response times. Furthermore practitioners within the authority have access to a number of other statutory services which can help support with caseloads which Social Workers have found extremely useful as it reduces their workload.

    Currently caseloads within the authority are very well managed and if a threshold is reached locums are usually brought in to ensure the cap remains effective. Also this is a good opportunity for those candidate who are looking to develop their experience in this area as you do not have to have experience specifically working in a Children with Disabilities team. To be considered for this post you should have Child Protection experience with Court Work.
