Senior Life Cycle Engineer - industry leading Medtech - Swiss base with international travel to Asia and the USA

As a Senior Life Cycle Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor to engineering projects, serving as an expert in electromechanical assembly, process optimization, cost savings and design transfer support for Next Generation and legacy products. The position will be based in Switzerland, but involving travel to sister companies in Switzerland and with up to 25% air travel to Asia and the USA

You will be part of and with possibility to lead a small team of dedicated engineers, designing, developing, testing, and documenting mechanical and electro-mechanical systems related to current and future products, and identifying and driving cost saving opportunities within the factory.

As such, you will

• Participate in design studies to improve reliability, safety, performance, lower cost, and implement next-generation concepts
• Follow design control processes in the development of electro-mechanical systems, participating in design reviews to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of system designs.
• Update the design of components and sub-assemblies due to obsolescence or new product requirements using SolidWorks
• Utilize Design for Manufacturability techniques to aid fabrication of components of plastic, metal and other materials.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers internationally in generating creative, effective and practical solutions, for new design as well as for validation and troubleshooting support on current platforms
• Educate/coach/train others on technical issues.
• Track internal trends and suggest process improvements

Both English and German are needed due to the international nature of this position.
