The Department of General Internal Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a dynamic physician for a full-time academic faculty appointment as a Geriatrician  (Open Rank). The candidate must have clinical expertise in patient care and provide an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents and students in the specialty of Geriatrics. Candidates must possess a M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited medical school, must have completed residency training in an approved American Residency Program in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Geriatrics.

The candidate must be eligible for a license as a physician in the State of Texas, and obtain a license to practice in the State of Texas prior to starting employment. They also must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and subspecialty of Geriatrics or obtain board certification within 3 years of employment and must be licensed as a physician in the State of Texas. Responsibilities include providing patient care to older patients and the internal medicine center and inpatient wards as a consultant, education of students, residents, and oncology fellows; and developing clinical expertise in the perioperative management older patients. We prefer candidates with strong clinical knowledge, experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
