Business Development Manager Adhesives - Aerospace market

I am currently working with a leading actor within the chemical industry across the globe. I am recruiting looking for a European Market Manager to develop the adhesives segment products to target aerospace clients and prospects.

You will be directly in touch with the Marketing Europe Vice President and will have the chance to become the main point of contact regarding the Adhesive segment within the European area.

Here are your main activities and responsibilities:

  • Establish key links with existing / potential customers to promote, support and sell the range of adhesives based on long-term strategy.
  • Justify the need to develop and / or qualify new products / processes and be the key point of contact between the customer and the R&D departments on these topics
  • Support sales forces Europe, promotion of existing products / processes for all potential applications
  • Identify new applications and participate in various trade shows as well as conferences
  • Monitor the evolution of the market and competition
  • Manage the range of adhesive products by managing the team of adhesive product managers (2 people)

Here are the skills I ideally look for :

  • You have a technical background ( as a chemical / materials engineer), you have been working since then on a Commercial or Marketing functions
  • You have a very strong knowledge of adhesives as well as the aeronautical environment and its practices (programs, specifications, qualifications ...)
  • You have a proven experience working in an international environment
  • You demonstrated an excellent interpersonal and communication level
  • Your rigor, your sense of organisation as well as your ability to analyse and work in a team will be essential assets to succeed in this position
  • You have a native or fluent level in English, french or German would be a bonus
