Financial Accounting Assistant

The Financial Accounting Assistant will be part of the team that delivers financial accounting and reporting services for the University including internal and external reports and statutory returns and budget

The post holder will provide day to day financial analytical and accounting support to the Financial Accountant as well as ensuing that agreed financial policy is implemented in all areas across the University. They should have a keen interest in financial accounting including balance sheet reconciliations.

The Financial Accounting Assistant is required to take a customer-focused approach to the provision of financial information and analysis for the Financial Accountant and other team members who require assistance in relation to financial matters.

We are looking for applicants who old or be studying towards the AAT Accountancy Qualification or able to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge gained through experience. You should have an aptitude for working with finance and non-finance specialists and a customer service focused attitude. You should be a good communicator, able to organise workloads effectively and work well under pressure.
