Job Details
This post presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, inquisitive and skilled individual to join the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR). Working alongside our Fundraising and Alumni & Supporter Engagement Teams, the Development Services Team provide operational support and data driven strategic insight to inform and support the various activity across ODAR.
We are looking for a logical, accurate and analytical individual who thrives when dealing with data and databases. You will have proven experience of using and interrogating relational databases and datasets, importing and exporting data, developing reports to provide business or customer insight using a range of software tools and analytics techniques and analysing data to identify trends, assessing the effectiveness of activity and providing practical solutions to data consistency, security and process. You will deliver insightful analytics and reporting, using this to highlight success, opportunity and areas for improvement across all areas of activity, informing ODAR strategic objectives and enabling sustained growth in fundraising and engagement.
ODAR completed its first major fundraising campaign for a new Centre for Cancer Immunology in 2018, raising £25million. Now, a more ambitious fundraising and engagement campaign is taking shape. Your data-focused role within ODAR will help support both fundraising and engagement (personalised communications, alumni and supporter events, volunteering) activities, and analysing a database of over 250,000 alumni and supporters.
Just over an hour outside London in a beautiful leafy location, the University of Southampton is part of the Russell Group and is a place of transformation. Through education and research, innovation and enterprise, we unlock potential and provide opportunities that transform the lives of our students, our community, society and the economy.
