Job Details
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to come and work for CHEP (Centre for Higher Education Practice) in supporting the University Strategy.
CHEP is leading a project called The Southampton Year 1 - our framework for transition to Higher Education (HE). One of four high priority University wide Education Strategy Projects, the main aim of the project is to ensure students who come to Southampton are supported in their transition to Higher Education, with a particular focus on how to learn effectively by understanding the differences of studying at University. This includes supporting students to become independent learners who proactively make the most of University resources to develop both their learning skills and strong support networks (learning communities).
To support the project we would like to recruit a candidate who is passionate about supporting students in their transition into Higher Education and who will contribute to the project by acting as a student project lead.
The role involves liaison between students and staff and the successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills including knowledge and experience of using social media.
It is a 0.4 fixed term position for a year from September 2019.
