Job Details

- Biochemistry and molecular biology experiments (quantitative PCR (qPCR, ddPCR), Western Blot, Elisa ...)
- Cell culture, transfection
- Analysis of transcriptomic data, statistical analyzes
- Written and oral communication of scientific results

The objective of the post-doctoral fellow will be to identify potential therapeutic targets for inhibiting hepatic fibrosis by siRNA vectors.
In a first step, the study of the expression of proteins and cytokines, expected as overexpressed during the fibrogenesis process and of interest for its resolution, will be carried out on a metabolic liver fibrosis mouse model.
In parallel, a transcriptomic study of the murine model will be conducted to characterize new markers of metabolic liver fibrosis that could be new targets for siRNA inhibition.
Target identification will be challenged by comparing the results obtained on the in vivo model, to human samples of patients presenting liver fibrosis.
The proposed postdoctoral contract is part of a Young Researcher project "Fibrother - Multiplexed nanovectors for liver fibrosis therapy" funded by the French Research National Agency.
The post-doc recruited will be welcomed in the "Biotherapy" team of the UTCBS, led by Dr. Virginie Escriou and the work will be done under the direction of Dr. Celine Hoffmann. The team involved in the project is multidisciplinary (biologists, chemists and pharmacists) and composed of researchers, a doctoral student and hospital practitioners. The postdoc project also involves the biostatistician team from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

- Depth knowledge of biochemistry, cell and molecular biology techniques
- Knowledge of classical molecular biology computer tools and office tools
- Knowledge in sequencing data analysis and statistical tests would be a plus
- Implementation and management of a research project
- Writing scientific articles skills
