Job Details

The post-doctorant should have a strong background in the field of molecular and cellular biology. The knowledge of molecular mechanisms of aging, age-related disorders (especially in the liver, lung or gut) and in adeno-associated viral transduction is a plus.

The recruited researcher will use in vitro and in vivo approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms of aging and the impact of depleting aged/senescent cells in different disorders. Our lab has recently developed several mouse models to track and to selectively eliminate p16High senescent cells and we have already obtained numerous interesting and unexpected results which require further analysis. Our ultimate goal is to find ways for significant life extension in mice and translation of this knowledge into humans.
IRCAN was created on 1 January 2012 in the heart of the Pasteur University Hospital in Nice. Research at IRCAN aims to understand the biological mechanisms that link aging and cancers, with a particular focus on the role played by epigenetics, cellular microenvironment and stress responses. The Institute for Research on Cancer and Aging (IRCAN) is a joint research unit under the supervision of the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, the CNRS and Inserm.

IRCAN is composed of more than 200 researchers, technical engineers, post-doctoral fellows and students. It is made up of 14 research teams and 5 technology platforms.
The recruited post-doctoral fellow will work as part of the "Oncogenesis and Stress Response" team under the responsibility of Dr BULAVIN
