(HEO8) $96,925 to $108,787 per annum plus an employer contribution of 9.5% superannuation will apply

Fixed term available immediately for 12 months

The Academic Program Support Team Leader is a leadership role providing expert input into Faculty of the Professions' strategic direction in support services for Academic and Learning support.

Working under broad direction with a degree of autonomy, the position works closely with the Student and Learning Services Manager, Faculty Office, Schools and shared service units in the development and implementation of quality support services.

The Team Leader provides high level leadership, direction and management for program and course lifecycle support, for all coursework programs, ensuring the delivery of proactive high level program, academic and learning support services with the aim of enhancing student experience. The position also involves supervising and coordinating professional staff across the Professions Support Hub (the Hub) and Faculty, ensuring the provision of quality and effective administrative services, systems and processes which support the learning and academic operational work for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees.

The Hub oversees the academic program and student support, student experience and employability services for the Faculty. Designed to provide support to Schools and Centres within the Faculty, the Hub works with both staff and students to provide a full service provision to ensure a high level of academic and student support is provided in a timely and responsive manner. The Hub includes the Academic & Learning Support team that is entrusted to work with academic colleagues and students to provide high level and responsive support services that enable an excellent academic experience.

To be successful you will need:
  • Experience in effectively and strategically leading, developing, and operationally managing multiple teams in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision of customer service roles including the ability to develop and implement quality improvement and best practice customer service culture.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver customer centric results.
  • Experience resolving high level problems, including the ability to be innovative and creative in generating solutions to complex issues.
  • Extensive experience and application of synthesising large amounts of information, both qualitative and quantitative to inform decision making, and in preparing written reports.
