Duke Kunshan University (DKU) invites applications for multiple faculty positions in a new major in Behavioral Science. We seek candidates from Psychology and Neuroscience, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, and Sociology who study and teach about interactions among individual differences, institutions (e.g. governmental policies, business, environment), group memberships and identity, and cultural and societal norms. Areas include but are not limited to behavioral and neuro economics, psychology (developmental, social, clinical, neuroscience, industrial/organizational), organizational sociology, public policy, law and society, regulation and governance, game theory, decision making, and political psychology. Sample topics include but are not limited to voting behavior, legal decision making, how diversity shapes group dynamics, cross-cultural differences in perception and decision making, designing laws and public policies in ways that enhance compliance, and the ethical questions that underlay using behavioral science in the public and private sector.
These positions are open with regard to rank including tenured, tenure track and non-tenure track. Mid-career and senior faculty are especially encouraged to apply. In order to meet Chinese visa requirements, prior to the position start date international (non-Chinese) candidates must have worked full-time for at least two years (including post-doctoral work) after receiving their Bachelor's degree.
