Are you passionate about research that will benefit the lives of cancer patients?
Would you like to support the delivery of projects that put patient reported outcomes at the heart of clinical practice?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support projects exploring the use of patient reported outcomes to understand and improve the care of people diagnosed with cancer.
The post is funded by NIHR Clinical Research Network Yorkshire and Humber, and the research assistant appointed will be required to take a proactive role in the day-to-day delivery of a range of studies being led by PCOR. Working with the support of research fellows and wider PCOR team members you will assist with the development and delivery of clinical trial protocols and procedures. Main duties will include participant recruitment (primarily in oncology outpatients settings), maintaining study documentation and entering data, monitoring study progress and feeding back updates to the local and wider team.
You will be required to liaise closely with a range of health professionals who assist with the delivery to our research including medical, nursing and hospital administration colleagues. Effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
