Professors Lindy Holden-Dye and Vincent O'Connor are seeking to appoint a Research Technician to join their research group. You will work on a new BBSRC funded project to characterise the molecular pharmacology of an ion channel that regulates nematode behaviour and presents a promising target for new antiparasitics. You will work with a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop a high throughput screening platform using C. elegans . A good undergraduate degree in a relevant life sciences discipline, along with experience of working with C. elegans would be advantageous but are not essential.

You will be based in the School of Biological Sciences (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/biosci) which has strengths in biomedical and biological sciences including microbiology, neuroscience, developmental biology and molecular and cellular bioscience.
