Job Details

My client is one of the world's leading chemical marketing enterprises. They take charge of the international marketing and the handling of worldwide distribution, storage, and logistics as well as further services for their partners. They have a global network of branch offices and holdings in more than 30 countries.

In the Pharma division they develop generic drugs. The Operational Procurement department is responsible for the procurement of finished pharmaceuticals and services for the supply business of the Pharmaceuticals division and ensures the timely supply of their customers through efficient supply chain management with their CMOs, suppliers and service providers.

For this team, I am looking for a motivated employee to take on parental leave (2 years limited term) contract.

Your tasks:

  • Independent management of all purchasing and procurement activities (worldwide) with suppliers and service providers. Together with your team, you will also be responsible for campaign and capacity planning.
  • By continuously optimising external and internal processes, you focus on increasing the delivery reliability of our company. In addition, you will be responsible for controlling procurement costs.
  • You will be responsible for the expansion and optimisation of our business partner relationships, which you will also maintain as part of regular business trips.
  • At the same time, you will supervise the implementation of existing contracts with suppliers and service providers and offer support with any questions that may arise.
  • You will act as an interface within the Pharmaceuticals division. As part of interdisciplinary launch teams, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling all procurement activities for the timely market launch of products.

Your profile:

  • Pharmaceutical or business administration degree. Alternatively, you have a comparable education and professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the field of generics.
  • In previous roles, you have gained experience in the purchase of active pharmaceutical ingredients and contract manufacturing services, as well as in the management of complex supply chains for (generic) pharmaceuticals.
  • You are familiar with common IT applications (MS Office). Ideally, you have knowledge and professional experience in working with SAP or another ERP system.
  • In a team you will act as an open and communicative contact person. You have a good self-organisation and can quickly integrate into new roles. Motivated, you will also take on new challenges.
  • You have a confident appearance towards business partners. Moreover, you have a strong negotiating personality combined with a high degree of solution competence.
  • Professional spoken and written English and German completes your profile and you are happy to use them on business trips, also outside Europe.

To apply please send a Word doc with no graphics or pictures or contact Heather Murray via our UK number found on our website by searching NonStop Pharma and quoting my extension 5112.

If you do not hear from me you might not have the exact skills required for the position, however, I will make sure to keep your profile for any other possible opportunities.
