Job Details

In the position of Electronics Design Engineer you will develop electronic based solutions for electromechanical brake systems.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate the latest potential solutions on the market.
- Request and/or perform technical studies in order to improve product knowledge.
- Define hardware requirements and specifications.
- Design electronic prototypes.
- Evaluate and recommend design modifications.
- Participate in the preparation of testing procedures for electronic based solutions.
- Support the development of interfaces between electronics and mechanics as well as for electromechanical components in cooperation with the mechanical design team.
- Support the development of hardware-software interfaces in cooperation with the software team.
- Support the safety analysis activities in cooperation with the safety team.
- Document the work in accordance with internal processes and ISO 26262.
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or an other relevant field.
- Experience with the full product development cycle of multi-board PCB systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in hardware (electronics) design engineering in the automotive industry.
- Expertise in schematic design (PCB layout) and electronic hardware (analogue & digital design, power electronics, microcontrollers, filter design, motor control, communication).
- Experience with SPICE simulation tools (e.g. LTSPICE, PSPICE, MULTISIM) and EDA tools (e.g. Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, Allegro).
- Knowledge of safety critical electronic designs based on ISO 26262.
- Familiar with electronic test standards (EMI/EMC/ESD, mechanical, environmental).
- Excellent skills in the English language.
