Electronics Design Engineer - Career Development

In the position of Electronics Design Engineer you will develop electronic based solutions for electromechanical brake systems.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate the latest potential solutions on the market.
• Request and/or perform technical studies in order to improve product knowledge.
• Define hardware requirements and specifications.
• Design electronic prototypes.
• Evaluate and recommend design modifications.
• Participate in the preparation of testing procedures for electronic based solutions.
• Support the development of interfaces between electronics and mechanics as well as for electromechanical components in cooperation with the mechanical design team.
• Support the development of hardware-software interfaces in cooperation with the software team.
• Support the safety analysis activities in cooperation with the safety team.
• Document the work in accordance with internal processes and ISO 26262.

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or an other relevant field.
• Experience with the full product development cycle of multi-board PCB systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in hardware (electronics) design engineering in the automotive industry.
• Expertise in schematic design (PCB layout) and electronic hardware (analogue & digital design, power electronics, microcontrollers, filter design, motor control, communication).
• Experience with SPICE simulation tools (e.g. LTSPICE, PSPICE, MULTISIM) and EDA tools (e.g. Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, Allegro).
• Knowledge of safety critical electronic designs based on ISO 26262.
• Familiar with electronic test standards (EMI/EMC/ESD, mechanical, environmental).
• Excellent skills in the English language.
