Operational Procurement Manager - Pharmaceutical

Brand new position with global and well established pharmaceutical organisation based in the city of Hamburg. My client is looking for an experience purchaser to join their team for a two year maternity cover, with the option to develop to a permanent position either within the procurement department or within another division. Due to expansion my client is planning on opening a number of positions across the Globe, which means more production and more buying and a higher chance to progress to a permanent vacancy after the two years are completed. You will be joining at a time where the procurement department is growing at an exceptional rate and the management team are in need of future leaders.

You will mainly be responsible for the plastic category, however this is not limited and you will also be involved in other business sectors that they operate in.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing the procurement department
• Responsible for global spend
• Sourcing for new suppliers
• Responsible for the pharmaceutical sector

To be successful candidate must have:

• Two years strategic/ operational purchasing experience
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical/ life science sector
• Experience working in a international environment
• Fluent in German & English
