NHMRC Grant-Funded Researcher (A) will support excellent research within the Mitochondrial Research Group
We are seeking an Embryologist with experience in oocyte micromanipulation to undertake oocyte in vitro culture, mitochondrial supplementation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection and embryo culture.
The Mitochondrial Research Group aims to understand how the nuclear and mitochondrial genomes interact during development in order that cells, tissues and organs function effectively. Funded by the NHMRC, the work of the Group focuses on how eggs, embryos and tumour cells regulate mitochondrial DNA copy number and how this influences the epigenetic status of the cell.

- A PhD or a Master's degree in a field associated with the biological sciences or biomedicine.
- Evidence of culturing oocytes in vitro, generating embryos using micromanipulation techniques and culturing pre-implantation embryos in vitro.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience contributing towards conference and seminar papers and submitting publications in research.
- Evidence of innovative research.
