EPIC is supported by FAPESP and Equinor Brasil Energia and is located in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. It aims to find innovative solutions for production optimization, including increased efficiency for the recovery of the petroleum resources and the management of the water and gas produced during the exploitation activities. The Center involves professors and researchers from UNICAMP linked to its Center for Petroleum Studies (CEPETRO/UNICAMP), its School of Mechanical Engineering (FEM/UNICAMP), its School of Technology (FT/UNICAMP), its Institute of Computing (IC/UNICAMP), its Institute of Geosciences (IG/UNICAMP) and its School of Civil Engineering (FEC/UNICAMP), as well as from the University of São Paulo's Engineering School (POLI/USP).
The selected candidate will develop research according to the theme Investigation of advanced techniques to represent in simulation models carbonate oil reservoirs with high gas content subject to water alternating gas processes PhD degree in engineering or relevant areas, under coordination of Prof. Denis Schiozer (FEM/UNICAMP).
Requirements
Knowledge in reservoir engineering and numerical reservoir simulation is advantageous.
