Key Account Manager Polyurethane Automotive - billingual in german

I am currently working with a leading actor within the chemical industry across the globe. I am currently looking for a talented Key Account Manager to develop the EMEA region for polyurethane applications for automotive industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and innovative Sales professional to join a well established specialty chemical company focused on development, growth and hig standard products.

The ideal person will be leading several Key Accounts in the Automotive sector, whilst working closely with Strategic Marketing and Technical Service teams as part of a matrix organisation.

Here are your main activities and responsibilities:

* Drive growth within key accounts via new product platform introductions, optimising selling prices/margins, optimising cost to serve, searching for growth opportunities
* Collect, consolidate and regularly provide market intelligence about Automotive OEMs, customers, competitors to highlight possible opportunities and threats
* You will be responsible as a European Account Manager for assigned accounts and, where required, coordinate regional account activities e. g. pricing, growth plans, projects etc. with counterparts in other regions or with Global Account Coordinators
* Establish Relationships with selected people in the Customers organization
* Provide accurate Sales Budget and Sales Forecast
* Maintain a regular contact with Customer Service and give decisions on specific matters

Here are the skills I ideally look for :

  • You have a technical background ( as a chemical / materials engineer), you have been working since then on a Commercial functions
  • Previous experience working directly with Automotive Tier 1/ Tier 2 suppliers is essential
  • You have a very strong knowledge of polyurethane or similars such as composite, adhesives
  • It is mandatory that you speak german at a native or billingual level
  • You have a proven experience working in an international environment
  • Your rigor, your sense of organisation as well as your ability to analyse and work in a team will be essential assets to succeed in this position
