The incumbent will also be expected to provide expertise and oversight in breast cancer incidence, mortality, survival, and prevalence trends to support the Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network. The candidate is also expected to conduct and oversee cutting-edge studies that further the state of the art in statistics, leading to new concepts and methodologies for application to cancer surveillance research.  Information about the division is available at https://cancercontrol.cancer.gov/

To successfully carry out the responsibilities of this position, candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of cancer surveillance, epidemiology, oncology, and data quality, and broad knowledge of basic, clinical, prevention, behavioral, and translational research). Applicants must have a thorough working knowledge of grants and contracts administration and operations, and must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with division staff, and with scientists, administrators, and educations in organizations both within and outside of NIH.
