Flexible Working and Work from Home

A Local Authority based in the East of England is looking for an experienced Social Work practitioner to join their Referral and Assessment service

Highlights:

  • Social Workers have a capped caseload
  • Duty happens every 4 weeks so Social Workers have enough time to clear of cases before being allocated a new batch
  • Good working synergy with other statutory services and information is shared efficiently meaning Social Workers aren't running around trying to get information from a variety of sources
  • Social Workers will benefit from flexible working and will be able to work from home - the manager is looking for confident Social Workers who are able to manage their time effectively and are able to work autonomously.
  • Small teams and small geographical region - Social Workers don't have to travel too much within the role
  • Very diverse Local Authority for the region - Will be working with service users and families from a range of social, economic and ethnic backgrounds
  • Will be working on cases which include CSE, Missing Children, Gangs, Radicalisation and FGM - Will also be able to specialise in 1 of these areas
  • Locum friendly assignment - locums will get promoted into senior roles and will also have access to some training and development perks usually reserved for permanent staff
  • Excellent transport links with regular trains into London and its own airport, furthermore Luton is located just off the M1
  • This is an excellent opportunity for those candidates who are looking to work within a diverse Local Authority. You will be working with service users with a broad social, economic and ethnic backgrounds which will give you a exposure to different cultures and how these can have an impact on children and young people.

    Working in the assessment team you will also be working closely with the MASH where you will have the opportunity to gain more experience around specific themes such as CSE, Gangs Missing Children, Radicalisation and FGM to name a few. You will also have the opportunity to specialise in one of these areas.
