Associate Director, Business Development, Pharma Generics Out-Licensing, Brand new role leading global out-licensing

I've been engaged to help a new player in global generics out-licensing to find an experienced business development/sales leader who can help build and develop their out-licensing group. The company have grown substantially in the last few years, have many new products and are already successful in the UK market. What we are looking for is someone with a proven track record and deal sheet for out-licensing in pharma, both in Europe and Globally. It is a good chance to grow your own division over time and be directly responsible for the growth in the company's exports. The manager in charge is very open and pragmatic and is determined to invest heavily in this person to grow the division quickly. With this will come challenges and realistically it is a very different environment to 'big pharma'. If this is genuinely appealing to you then please feel free to contact me.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading global out-licensing activities, ultimately generating the company new revenues abroad
  • Generating and developing new customer relationships across both Europe, but also in APAC, LATM, MEA and other potential markets
  • Attendance at key conferences and global generics meet-ups
  • Close collaboration with supply chain, regulatory and legal teams all the way from contract agreement to delivery
  • In the long term helping to further grow the out-licensing team

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical drug out-licensing (we cannot consider pharma services, devices or other industries)
  • Ideally experience specifically in the pharma generics industry
  • Ideally experience in getting deals in a number of different regions
  • Fluency in English
