Our Agency has been retained to help find an Account Manager with a background in the chemical sector to join the Composite Wood products business based Within their Polymer Division.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Account Manager with a technical background to join a highly specialised chemicals business to manage accounts across the Benelux and South European market. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be working with major B2B and B2C customers whilst driving differentiated products and new product introductions in a market sector where the company already holds a significant market share.

Additionally, as the Account Manager, you will:

Provide accurate sales forecasts for your region whilst identifying opportunities to increase market share and gain new business in line with the divisional strategy.
Manage any customer complaints and overdue regarding our products or services.
Working with strategic marketing and R&D to identify actual and future customer requirements and develop solutions balancing needs with our business goals.
Develop account/delivery plans within the sales strategies and contribute to the development of value packages to customers.
Maintain updated market intelligence in your area relating to both exiting/target customers and competition
Report customer interactions including commercial, marketing and technical information


Requirements:

  • Degree qualified with previous experience working within the Chemical sector in either a Sales or Technical role.
  • Passion for chemistry and application development with the ability to engage and influence with R&D on the development of new products to match market demands.
  • Any knowledge of the Wood and/or Polyurethane industry would be beneficial but not essential.
  • An ambitious personality who is looking to progress their career in a commercial discipline
  • Fluency in English and Dutch or French is essential. Any knowledge of Italian would be desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead customer negotiations and work in a cross-functional team consisting of R&D, Marketing and Technical Service colleagues.
