Job Details

The Centre for Academic Language and Development at the University of Bristol is growing rapidly. We are currently seeking to appoint to a number of permanent English for Academic Purposes roles for a January 2020 start.

The EAP tutor will be expected to teach across all areas of our provision: 1) International Foundation Programme (IFP); summer Pre-sessional (PS); EGAP and ESAP courses for students already on Bristol degree programmes.

As well as teaching, an EAP tutor will be involved in materials development and other Centre projects. They will also be allocated time for scholarship, CPD and Special Interest Group work.

Closing date: Monday 4th November

Interview date: Friday 15th November

We aspire to be a cutting-edge centre that works with all individuals to develop their communication in academic contexts. To do this we work in line with 6 principles: development, reflexivity, transparency, autonomy, collaboration and transferability. If you feel that these principles are a good fit for your own, then we look forward to receiving an application from you detailing how you can contribute to the Centre's success. In turn, we will work with you to further your development as an EAP practitioner.

If you have line management and course development experience, you might be better suited to our advertisement for an EAP Co-ordinator.

Please have a good look at our website to get a feel for what we do and how we do it. For any further information, please contact maxine.gillway@bristol.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
