Job Details
Our client, is an improving local authority based near Clapham who are looking for a Permanence and Adoption Team Manager for its Children Looked After service. Your responsibility will be to play a central role in promoting and ensuring children within Children Social Care achieve permanency.
As the Permanency and Adoption Manager you will be expected to take responsibility for the liaison with the Regional Adoption Agency, support all practitioners in all teams in working towards permanency for children and ensure there are plans in place and permanency is achieved for all children who become
looked after.

It's a role that will see you work closely with our social work teams, partners and stakeholders to secure, champion and oversee children permanence. The service is continuously developing through actively reducing caseloads, extra training and working through the Signs of Safety Innovation Project. This allows you to use your own ideas to shape the way you work with the service users.
To be shortlisted to interview for this position, you must have evidence of:
- You have a Social work qualification and are HCPC registered
- Have experience of court proceedings
- You can work independently
- You understand child development and children legislation
- Are an excellent communicator
- Have a technical understanding of adoption
