Post Room Assistant / Research Secretary

The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children is seeking a motivated individual to be responsible for the administration, collection and mailing out of questionnaires, newsletters and other mail to study participants. You will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing post, and daily data processing tasks such as updating participant details in the study database and scanning questionnaires and consent forms. You will also provide general secretarial admin support to senior study staff. Excellent administrative and organisational skills are required for this post, as is the ability to work as part of a small team who complete ad-hoc request together.

As the successful candidate you will need to be enthusiastic working with the current post holder and working within a close-knit team. This requires strong communication skills, regular task handovers and ownership to ensure the objectives for this post are met collectively.

In the first instance and we invite applications for 21 hours of part time working on the basis of 9am - 5pm Wednesday to Fridays. Alternate days/hours a week will also be considered.

This post is offered on open ended contract, with funding currently available until 30 September 2020.
