Permanence & Adoption Manager

A Local Authority based in London is seeking an experienced Social Work manger to join their Children's Services as an Adoption and Permanence Manager

Highlights:

  • Work closely with the Adoption and Looked After Children Teams
  • Work closely with the Regional Adoption Agency
  • Work closely with front line teams to ensure Social Workers understand and formulate permanency plans
  • Will be the responsible person for adoption and permanency practice in the department
  • Have the opportunity to review and develop the permanency policy
  • Will be working with the Senior Management team to identify areas to improve and developing strategies and processes to implement improvements
  • Will have the opportunity to use your experience to help develop process around permanency

    • This is an excellent opportunity to take on a unique post which will see you work across a range of teams in Children's services and ensure practitioners are aware of permanency and that they are working to this for all the Local Authorities Looked After Children. You will also have the opportunity to work with external colleagues from the Regional Adoption Agency who will be coordinating adoption efforts across the region.

    This post also offers a strategic element which will see you work closely with the senior management team to review processes around permanency with the view of identifying areas that can be improved and implementing solutions around this.

    To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience around Adoption and Permanency. You should have also held a management position
