The programme is led by Prof. P. Bartlett, with further research teams in Chemistry (G. Reid, A. Hector), Physics (D. Smith) and Electronics (K. de Groot) at Southampton and at the Universities of Nottingham (M. George) and Warwick (R. Beanland) are also highly active members of the programme.

You will have a PhD* in electrochemistry or equivalent professional qualification and a first degree in Chemistry, plus strong background and experience in practical electrochemistry. Strong communications skills, with a proven ability to work as part of a team, are essential. Particularly beneficial would be experience in one or more areas of non-aqueous electrochemistry, electrodeposition, materials characterisation, electrochemical automation and instrumentation.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.

This is a fixed term appointment until 19th July 2021 due to funding restrictions, and is available to start immediately.
