Continuing full-time position
The Director, Cultural and Campus Events will provide leadership across the University to extend our partnerships with the cultural sector, especially the city's festivals, as well as deliver a multi-faceted events program, bringing together learning, research, culture, entertainment and the performing arts, on campus and in the heart of the city
This brand new role operates with a high overall degree of autonomy, collaborating with cultural associations, student representative bodies, Adelaide University Sports, the Festival and Fringe as well as precinct partners and community groups to curate a program of events to increase visitation to the University, and animate the campus as a destination.

To be successful you will need:
- Significant experience working within or with the higher education and/or cultural sectors, and the ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary teams to implement an institution wide strategic plan.
- Substantial experience curating a high profile program of events, and a demonstrated ability to lead and persuade diverse stakeholder groups through influence and effective collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience working at senior management level in a large and complex organisation, delivering major projects with creative flair and results driven pragmatism.
- A working understanding of the principles of place making, curation, and space utilisation in the context of broader community engagement.
