0.8FTE fixed term position until 30 April 2022

This position will work as part of a team to support the PRIF Consortium 'Unlocking Complex Resources through Lean Processing' (the Consortium)

Receiving broad direction from the Consortium Director, the Consortium Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of robust project planning processes, effective project management practices and a project management framework to successfully support the Consortium to achieve its strategic plan.

This position is based at the Institute for Mineral and Energy Resources (IMER) and includes assisting the IMER team in organising industry events, communications and engagement with partners, Australian and overseas stakeholders to seek opportunities for new projects, participation in bids preparation.

To be successful you will need:
  • Demonstrated experience in project management/coordination in a complex organisation and working with project plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal/negotiation skills enabling effective interaction with stakeholders and collaborators when providing advice, guiding decision-making and seeking cooperation and engagement in the delivery of project.
  • Sound organisational experience in a research environment and the tertiary sector, preferably in the Australian context.
  • Ability to coordinate teams, and to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain work accuracy.
