The School of Agriculture, Policy and Development is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Marketing to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate marketing modules associated mainly with our BSc in Consumer Behaviour and Marketing and our MSc Consumer Behaviour.

This is a Teaching-Intensive role with related administrative responsibilities. Duties include the over-sight, delivery and assessment of undergraduate-level and postgraduate teaching in the area of marketing, including advertising and branding and marketing management and strategy. The post-holder will be expected to participate in ongoing curriculum development of marketing teaching across the School, and to contribute to outreach and recruitment activities throughout the year.

The Applied Economics & Marketing Department sits within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development at Reading, which is global in its outlook and has an international reputation for both teaching and research. Within the University of Reading, SAPD has strong research links with Psychology, Henley Business School, Geography & Environmental Science, and Food and Nutritional Sciences and has an established reputation for inter-disciplinary research.

Requirements:
  • MSc or PhD level education in a relevant discipline and/or experience working in a marketing related field.
  • ability to provide a high quality learning experience to students
  • ability to design and develop materials for teaching and assessment at a range of levels, including the application of technology enhanced learning presentation and communication skills required for teaching
  • a broad grounding in marketing, particularly (but not constrained to), social responsibility and the ethics of marketing, sustainability marketing, or inclusive marketing.


The post is full-time from 1 January 2020 but we would also welcome applications from those interested in job-sharing or a fractional post above 0.7 FTE.
