NonStop Consulting is working with a leading automotive supplier on a global level. The company has been investing in a new division which will focus on mobility technology and services. As part of the growth of this unit, the firm is hiring for a Business Developer in Belgium.

This is an excellent chance to join an innovative unit which will focus both on manufacturing the product but also will deliver the software and service connected to it. Essentially, a full-scope technological solution will be provided to the respective clients. The project is currently at an initial phase meaning there is a lot of room for further adjustments and technological advancement based on the requirements of the market. This is a unique opportunity to work with the latest technology in one of the fastest growing fields of the automotive - mobility and connected services.

The role gives you a lot of freedom in terms of what clients you can approach. The firm wants the person to be able to be in touch with the whole ecosystem, meaning possible interactions with OEMs, start-ups, etc. especially when the prototypes are to be developed.

This is quite a serious and big project and it's being developed by a leading global corporation in the automotive field. Yet, due to its uniqueness, the environment will be more start-up like, meaning that you'll have quite a lot of flexibility and freedom in the way you approach the market.

In this role you will:

  • Develop new business models based on defined strategies, and challenge them with existing prospects and customers
  • Perform market research and environmental study
  • Build business plans with disruptive value chain proposition using several assumptions to confirm the future profitability of the new ideas
  • Collaborate with internal R&D teams, as well as with external partners
  • Generate new leads, accompany them, in the development and future adoption of the service: from pilot testing to large-scale deployment
  • Anticipate the future needs of target market segments, get customer insights, and communicate them to the team to develop the next business and product development strategies
  • Create long-term relationships with partners

Your profile:

  • Degree in Electronics, IT, Digital Services, Telecommunications or similar
  • A couple of years experience in the field of mobility services; could be in a technical function, commercial one is preferred
  • Commercial affinity and desire to develop yourself in a business development role
  • Experience in a start-up/scale-up is a big advantage
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • High-level of flexibility, entrepreneurship, and pro-activeness
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
