Analytical Chemist in Germany / contract role !

One of our clients, a global manufacturer of performance materials in Germany ( Hannover ) is looking for an Analytical Chemist for a 3-5 Months CONTRACT .

Our client produces performance materials for industry, which are used and available in over 100 countries to produce high performing, cost-effective, and sustainable products.

The role would start immediately, so we are looking for someone with ideally no notice period, who would be available as soon as possible !

Your tasks will include:

• Carrying out analyzes and evaluating them as a member of the analytics group (after the induction phase)
• Produce consumption solutions for the analyzes and, if necessary, maintenance of the laboratory equipment
• Independent planning, execution and evaluation of analyzes for R & D, QC and customer projects (after the induction phase)
• Documentation of the results in accordance with the laboratory guidelines / specifications of the laboratory manager (after the induction phase)
• Development of methods including documentation
• Special tasks in coordination with the laboratory manager

Your Profile :

• Analytical chemist
• Experienced chemistry lab technician or Chemical-technical assistant or chemist with a bachelor's or master's degree or diploma
• Experience in the following instrumental analysis techniques:
  • HPLC (essential);
  • GC (desirable) with UV and / or MS and / or fluorescence detection
• Experience in the following laboratory techniques desirable:
  • titration (manual and with titrator),
  • distillation
  • extraction
  • colour measurements (Gardner, APHA / HAZEN)
• Computer:
  • MS-Office: Excel, Access, Word, Outlook (essential), Access, Power Point desirable)
• Languages:
  • Fluent in German (essential) and English (minimal essential knowledge essential) as many laboratory documents are available in English and as there is also a lot of communication internally in English.
