One post-doctoral position is available at the Institute of Science and Technology of São Paulo State University (ICT-UNIFESP) in São José dos Campos, Brazil.

The selected researcher will receive a PD fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and join a project involving the development of optimization models and solution methods for the minimization of open stacks problem.

The candidates must have a PhD in production engineering or related area, such as engineering, computer sciences, mathematics, among others.

The post-doctoral candidate should have experience in Operations Research techniques, including optimization mathematical modeling, linear and integer programming, as well as experience in the coding and resolution of mathematical models through optimization package software (CPLEX, GUROBI or others).

It is desirable prior knowledge in models for the minimization of open stacks problem and for cutting problems.

It is required full and exclusive dedication to the activities of the project, according to the FAPESP rules available at http://fapesp.br/en/postdoc .

The selection process will consider the CV of the candidates and their potential contribution to the research area of this project.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
