Geotechnical Engineer

One of my clients, an established GI contractor, is currently looking for an experienced geotechnical/geo-environmental engineer to join their dynamic team in their office in Leeds. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on exciting large infrastructure/Rail projects across the UK.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Supervision of site investigations (working away from home will be required).
• Logging of soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2015.
• Managing site investigation works, including pricing of works, dealing with suppliers and preparation of health and safety documentation.
• Completion of Desk Top Studies.
• Factual reporting, data processing with some interpretative reporting.
• Travelling and attending internal and external meetings as required.

This role will involve running and managing Site investigations, allowing you independence and opportunities to learn valuable skills from the role.

Requirements:

• A Bsc in Geology or relevant degree
• 2 - 4 years' experience in Ground investigations (preferably from a GI contracting background)
• Experience managing a project from start to finish.
• Must hold a valid UK Driving licence
