Job Details

This fixed-term maternity leave cover post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and organised person who has worked on randomised controlled trials (RCTs) or with other relevant study designs to join the Centre for Public Health within Population Health Sciences at the Bristol Medical School.

We are seeking an experienced research project manager to fulfil the role of Trial Coordinator for FRANK friends. This is a multicentre RCT to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of a school-based peer-led drug prevention intervention. Led by Cardiff University, the trial started in March 2019 and will run over 40 months.

You will work closely with Professors Rona Campbell and Matt Hickman (Co-Applicants - Bristol), Dr James White (Principal Investigator - Cardiff) and his study team. You will be joining a team in Bristol that includes two researchers and a research administrator.

The post is 2 days per week (working Thursdays and Fridays) ideally starting in December 2019 or as soon as possible. The overall role of trial coordinator is split with another member of staff.

Dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate, appointment will be made to either the Research and Teaching or the Professional/Administrative (SUPP105768) pathway. Previous applicants for this role need not apply.

For informal queries, please contact: Professor Rona Campbell, Telephone: 0117 9287363, Email: rona.campbell@bristol.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
