Senior Mechanical Engineer - Medical Industry - Toscana

The successful candidate must excel in a high-energy, small team environment, and should be able to drive to solutions from rough requirements with a high product quality mindset.

The major duties are:

• Design of high precision axes, motorized and sensorized joints and complex mechanism;
• Detailed prototype design of components and complex systems, fabrication and test;
• Analyze, test and improve the product designs;
• Concept and design documentation, review and control;
• Select and develop vendors to manufacture components;
• Coordinating the procurements of components and external services;
• Report progress and milestones to the management

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical engineer or similar;
• 5 Years of experience
• Experience in design of precision mechanics,sensorized joints and robot architecture;
• Experience with cable driven mechanisms, belt driven mechanism, gravity compensated system, lead screw precision stages;
• Experience with design and fabrication of plastic part both as mechanism components or product enclosure;
• Proficiency using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and PLM tools;
• Experience designing medical products accordingly with 60601 medical device standard is a plus;
