Junior Broker - Low Carbon Products - Switzerland
Based in Switzerland this is a great opportunity to join one of the leader in Commodity Brokering as a Low Carbon Product Broker for the German, Austrian and Swiss clients on biofuel and transport carbon credit markets associated with these countries. You will be in charge of developing the business activities as well as investigating and identify new revenue streams in other carbon credit markets.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a broker in the execution of low carbon fuel and carbon credit deals between traders via phone or computer in physical and derivative markets
- Working with and continuously supporting existing carbon market brokers with daily activities, including preparation of market reports and price curves
- Monitoring and analyzing market performance and communicating it to customers
- Writing daily market updates, news summaries and daily market letters
- Consistently meeting new and existing clients to develop and maintain business relationships
- Identifying potential clients via research and cold-calling
- Representing SCB at events and engaging with the relevant community
Profile:
- Degree in Finance, Mathematics or Business, or equivalent
- 2+ years experience working in brokering, sales or trading in a related industry such as energy, oil & gas, renewables or others commodities
- Fluency in German and English are essential requirements
- Fluency in other language will be an added advantage
