The Opportunity:

As a Scientist in DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology, you will:
  • Be a critical contributor to the Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology Department and will collaborate, align and influence cross-functional teams to identify and resolve key project questions related to DMPK and Clinical Pharmacology.
  • Represent DMPK in project core teams and guide DMPK activities across multiple phases, including lead discovery, lead optimization, candidate nomination and regulatory filing.
  • Participate in the selection and management of CROs for conducting preclinical ADME, PK studies as well as studies to support clinical development.
  • Design, conduct, and manage in vitro and in vivo ADME, PK, PK/PD and TK studies in-house or at contract research organizations (CROs).
  • Provide expertise in human PK projecting and clinical schedule optimization using modeling and simulations.
  • Author high quality subsections of clinical and regulatory documents to support IND, CTAs and other regulatory filing.
  • Develop high-quality protocols and maintain detailed documentation of procedures and data to comply with internal standard operating procedures and other quality criteria, where necessary.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • A Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacokinetics, Drug Metabolism, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience (Scientist II) or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience (Senior Scientist) in supporting small molecular lead optimization, candidate selection and early development.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in LC/MS/MS, ADME and PK/PD study design, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of the latest technological and regulatory advance in the field of DMPK, clinical pharmacology and modeling/simulation.
  • Experience in representing the DMPK or Clinical Pharmacology function in project teams and building strong working relationship with peers and cross-functional partners to enable high team performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and mentor junior scientists.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire to be innovative in a high energy, small company environment.
