Temporary Technical Service Officer

Purpose of the position

As the temporary Technical Support Officer, you will liaise between R&D, Sales and Marketing: answering questions from the Account Managers and customers regarding Lubricant additives.

The job consists out of 3 main assignments:

Technical Support (internal

• Being the contact person for FAQs and give technical support to the sales team;
• Growing a knowledge database, based on the technical service requests that are executed by R&D, and based on the FAQ that comes from customers and AMs;
• After the establishment and implementation of this database, the TSE will maintain and grow the database.

Specification support

• Gathering information on specification requirements;
• Building and maintaining a network of industry experts;
• Evolve into a specification specialist to provide support to the sales team;
• Being the sparring partner for the (Assistant) Marketing Manager decide on portfolio planning regards to specifications.

Analytical/Research Support

• Building and maintaining a network of industry experts;
• Analyzing the database in order to identify trends, developments, and points of improvement in the field of products and applications;
• Translate identified data into concrete actions plans, taking the business unit strategy into account;
• Identify opportunities to train and develop technical knowledge of the sales team;
• Monitoring made improvements and adjust if necessary.

Knowledge and experience

• Bachelor degree in chemistry or related education;
• Knowledge of tribology and product/industry applications;
• Advanced level of English (writing, reading, and speaking)
• Advanced level of industry terminology
