They are currently looking for a Dutch speaking Key Account Manager to join the Netherlands Sales Team within the Health division. The position is based in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for defining short term and long-term plans, building retailer partnerships and managing the sales distribution within the retailer network. This position offers a great chance to demonstrate your entrepreneurial spirit and hands on approach which will give you the chance to take ownership of your own client portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Account planning and sales forecasting
  • Development of the account portfolio according to the annual business plan
  • Execute customer negotiations in line with the companies commercial strategy and trading terms
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to provide your retailer clients with the best support for in-store sales shelf availability and promotional compliance for sales of the products.
  • Analyse sales data with the Nielsen forecasting program to provide insights for the National Account Team for promotional activity and new product launches
  • Work closely with supply services; making sure that sales forecasts are accurate and adequate stock levels are available with the customers supply chain system
  • Take ownership of profit and lost through achievement of net revenue, gross margin and 4P targets (product, placement, price and promotion)
  • Implementation and execution of trade promotions in collaboration with other internal departments
  • Deliver account objectives through relationship management
  • Train and supervise a Key Account Manager and inside sales assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Master Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years or retail sales experience in an FMCG or consumer goods environment
  • Skilled negotiator on both tactical and strategical level
  • Experience with Nielsen forecasting and P&L knowledge
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
