The role will support research activity in the Department of Business and Management.

You will work closely with the Faculty Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor John Wilson, to develop knowledge, skills and understanding in the area of Business History. You will play a key role in an Anglo-Japanese project linked to the application of new business philosophies and contribute to the development of an ESRC research grant on 'The impact of corporate networks on British business, 1905-2015'.

You should have the proven skills, knowledge and capacity to engage in a programme of research. Typical activities will include research, writing and compiling material appropriate to the two main projects. Working with colleagues in the department you will be responsible for ensuring that the projects progress effectively, while in addition some teaching delivery may be allocated.

Doctorally qualified, you must have a knowledge and understanding of British and international business history issues, while competence in appropriate software will be an essential skill.

Initially this role is for two years but may have the potential to be extended beyond this.
