Purchasing Manager (Italian Speaking)

I am currently working with an international family owned business that has been present with the importing sector for over 140 years. They currently hold the highest profile in fruit and vegetable imports and have 3 successful business areas.

They are currently looking for a talented individual to join their purchasing team to oversee and be solely responsible for purchasing fresh fruit in Italy.

In this position you will be expected to source fruit of Italian origin and potentially look to take part in some key account management for major supermarkets in Germany.

They are looking to fill this position soon as the previous Purchasing Manager will be leaving in December!

Your tasks will comprise of (but not be limited to):

*Handling all product claims

* Discuss supplier claims

* Agree on pricing and agree on volumes and handle any shortage problems

What you will need in order to be successful:

*Experience in fruit and vegetable purchasing within Germany

*Fluent in Italian with business fluent German ( the corporate language is English but you will have to communicate with colleagues across all business levels, so expect to write and speak in German a little bit!)
