We are working with a Global Chemical corporation that tends to different industries such as the Automotive, Construction, Textile and Electronics sectors.
The company itself is a major operation with decades of presence on the market and a foothold in different markets internationally, with a culture of quality and innovation for its products.
This is the reason why today we are working with this organisation in order to hire a new (Sr) Toxicologist for their site in Belgium, in the PU division.
We are of course seeking for a strong background in toxicology, with a preference for 10+ years of experience in this position, but we are also looking for an individual that thrives in new challenges and in this case a different scope to the traditional Toxicologist position.
Your new position would be focusing on the strategic side of the business, with a strong focus on long term studies, alternate testing, and business development, with Innovation and Growth being the key words for your mission.
Your Missions:
- Critical review of Toxicology and Chemical data, with independent hazard assessment of existing portfolio and new alternative substances.
- Strategic input on potential authorities future decisions regarding portfolio, and expert input on potential hurdles to negotiate in the authorisation process.
- Preparation of elaborate complex documentation, and gathering of Data for special reports
- Develop alternative testing strategies with an eye to minimising business impact, with follow up for recommendation, and protocol review and amendments
- Perform risk assessments
- Represent the company in various industry and trade associations, and communicate relevant information to stakeholders, internal and external
Your profile:
- PhD in toxicology or other relevant diploma in chemistry/Biology
- 10+ years of experience as a toxicologist
- A willingness to work on the business development and strategic angle of toxicology
