Instructor/Researcher in Cardiothoracic Surgery for Translational and Clinical Research

New York-Presbyterian Hospital | Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgery Instructor/Researcher to join international translational research programs focused on cardiothoracic surgery including basic science, biomedical innovation, advanced methodology and clinical activities.

Must have strong statistical background, able to conduct statistical analysis independently with emphasis on meta-analysis, clinical outcome research, translational research, and randomized trials.  Proven abilities to work independently and lead translational research groups.  Grant writing a plus. PhD candidate level and above including experience in authoring a significant body of publications in peer-reviewed journals in cardiothoracic surgery as well as editorial experience.

Duties include bench work, biology lab, outcome research, meta-analysis, randomized trials, publication, and presentation of results.  Provide research-based teaching to research fellows and medical students.

Minimum:  $74,000 / year commensurate with experience
