NonStop Consulting, one of the most known recruitment firms in the life science industry are supporting an European Pharma firm, in order to appoint a Head of Finance in their German office, in Ulm.

Purpose of the function:

Technical and disciplinary responsibility for the area of finance & administration and implementation of all processes in financial accounting, coordination of cash management as well as internal IT and risk management.

Responsibility for the planned and actual cost accounting as well as ensuring cost transparency. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements (HGB, StGB, IFRS) and responsibility for the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as the tax balance sheet.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Economics studies with a focus on finance or accounting
  • 3 - 5 years of management experience in a comparable position, preferably in the pharmaceutical field
  • Knowledge of IAS / IFRS and HGB
  • Very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office required, knowledge of Hyperion an advantage
  • Pragmatic and analytical way of working
  • Strategic-conceptual way of thinking with a feeling for business
  • Very good communication skills
  • German and English business fluent in spoken and written,
  • Presentation and negotiation skills
  • Hands on mentalityExperience in leadership of people

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility for finance, accounting, accounting and taxes
  • Responsibility for the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to national and international standards (HGB and IFRS)
  • Reporting to the parent company
  • Budget planning, creation and monitoring
  • Responsible for liquidity planning and cash management
  • Central contact for banks, tax advisors, auditors, service partners
  • Responsibility for the associated IT area (negotiation of framework contracts, analysis of processes, monitoring and ensuring critical IT functions) in coordination with the CIO of the Group
  • Disciplinary leadership responsibility of a team of 6 employees
  • Representation of the company as authorized representative
  • Functional reporting line to the CFO of the Group
  • Support of a local service level agreement for the local branch of another subsidiary
  • Risk management and insurance management
  • Support and consulting of the Managing Director for the company strategy
