Sr. Finance Supervisor with Bulgarian

My client, an international conglomerate with offices in Bucharest is looking for a new addition to their finance team to manage the financial relations with the Bulgarian authorities.

The position is based out in Bucharest and offers an attractive compensation, among other benefits such as flexible working time and career progression.

As a senior supervisor, you will be the primary responsible for the financial accounting and compliance of the entities within Bulgaria.

The role reports to the Country Finance leader for the Balkan region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain accounting flows related to Statutory and US GAAP reporting activities
• Partner with outsourced service providers and regional finance centers
• Coordinate third parties work on statutory books and tax matters for Bulgarian entities
• Support audits for Bulgarian entities and partner with corporate tax for all projects
• Conduct an annual balance sheet review

Requirements:

• Relevant educational background
• Several years of experience as a financial advisor/accountant, with supervising responsibility
• Fluent Bulgarian and English
• Certified accountant familiar with Bulgarian tax legislation
• Experience from a multinational environment, preferably familiar with ERP
• Able to travel
