Job Details

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to:
  • supervise the field teams and undertake monitoring activities
  • conduct quality checks on the obstetric ultrasound data acquired at the field site
  • collect and maintain records of enrolled pregnant women and ensure that SOPs for ultrasound are being followed
  • enroll patients for on-going research studies and update their schedules of visits
  • maintain records of research conducted and prepare periodic progress reports
  • design and plan social mobilization strategies for target communities
  • provide training to staff on project protocols and operations
  • review the case history of the identified individuals and discuss with the supervisor.


Requirements

You should have:
  • at least a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Masters would be preferred
  • at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in field or community.
  • proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
  • good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in teams and establish harmonious working relations at the place of work
  • ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
  • This is a closed ended position to be based in Karachi.
