Applications are invited for a position of Research Associate to join the Nislow-Giaever laboratory, a world-class Chemogenomics platform at the University of British Columbia.

The laboratory has 6-8 trainees; a suite of laboratory automation devices and performs hundreds of high-throughput molecular genetic screens each month for a diverse array of collaborators.

We are seeking a scientist to lead research projects and to implement a robust data analysis pipeline for Chemogenomics screens and RNA-seq analysis, with a specific focus on overseeing all screening activities to ensure effective and efficient management of all the research projects in the Nislow-Giaver lab.

The successful candidate would be expected to develop and implement research protocols for high throughput screening and next generation sequencing and will manage the Bar-SEQ database and robotics.

The candidate will also manage the Nislow-Giaver lab, including the procedures associated with yeast strain and human cell culturing, basic molecular biology techniques, the operation and maintenance of laboratory automation robots, and sample preparation for next generation sequencing and operation of Next Generation Sequencers....
